Well for instance what I ve done on all Scandinavian versions of wikipedia is to make sure that combats.com gets good rates when searching for certain keywords... thats free and quite effective actually. Another idea would be to make a as good youtube clip as possible, then get as many of our current players as possible to vote for it and favourite it, maybe even kepp it on a loop, that way we would get quite good ratios on the vid, getting people to watch it and hopefully afterwards log in and give the game a try. I got yet a couple ideas like this but I'd prefer to reveal them to Admins, just to assure that they knew where they got the info hehehe =)
hehe, yeah, it might but it wont work unless someone from the russian version takes command and makes it all happen, NC is too small of a place for that and I lack the experience in such "project"... wikipedia is one of the most used encyclopedias and is free so it would be quite nice if we could have combats explained in all languages... I'm sure it wouldnt hurt. =)
Another idea is to choose a site of your choise, for instance "Pirate bay" with plenty of users in the right category and run a small add there or just a link to combats... this aint expensive and gives quite good results actually =)
Re: How true, but running ads never been free, now have they?
If I have correctly understood you (forgive my poor English) you believe, what advertising will demand additional financial injections? But in fact it is justified =)
Re: Re: How true, but running ads never been free, now have they?
Thats my point exactly. Advertising costs money and from my experience this game aint spending too much cash on advertising, atleast not outside Russia... And your english is good enough, keep it up and it will get better ;)
Re: Re: Re: How true, but running ads never been free, now have they?
In Russia I at all did not see advertising Combats Clab =)) the Russian-speaking part of the project practically is not advertised =) I as a moderator in cities for beginners, I see a problem many users-somethings ephemeral. By means of advertising it is possible to involve crowd in the project, but to keep - is not present =) And probably those who consider are right, that a problem partly in a gameplay. But, in Russia it is necessary to consider and features of the Russian mentality that extends and on all post-Soviet space.
Re: Re: Re: Re: How true, but running ads never been free, now have they?
wow, I actually thought that combats were advertising in Russia... I did a advertisingcampaign with our "Supreeme" Tsatidis in Sweden & Finland, it was quite cheap and we had quite good response so its really the best way to get new players for sure.
